Every story has an end, but in life every ending is a new beginning.

The journey, which I started on March 20, 2021, has finally ended. Only 3 months, 24 sessions, 60 hours, 3600 minutes, 21600 seconds just ended in a blink of an eye. I am still wandering in the thoughts of my first week at Amal and the time when my journey just started. Starting from fantastic four principles of Amal Fellowship, that are Amal, Khudi, Kaam Kaam aur Kaam and Aik or Aik Gyara till the presentation skills, the journey had an amazing charm. Every session was unique and has been closer to my heart because we were learning new things everyday whether through the PWs or the sessions. Now that the beautiful 3 months-long journey has ended. It was like a dream journey where I met many people and we didn’t realize that the time is passing and then the last session came but the results were overwhelming.

Batch 188 Virtual Graduation

The last session was quite fun. There was just light-hearted conversation. People laughing and sharing their experiences was such a delightful sight. This day was more like a reward for our constant hard work throughout the fellowship. Ma’am Ayesha shared a few words of motivation with us and encouraged us to plan our next step. Ma’am Uswah was a very energetic and lively person throughout the fellowship. She always tried to keep the fellows attentive during the session. She always came up with interactive activities for these sessions. She created a Padlet board for writing appreciation posts for all the fellows. My fellows wrote such nice words for me. That boosted my confidence up. Thanks to all these amazing people.

We the batch 188 thanked our facilitators by holding a thank you card mentioning the name of our amazing facilitators Ma’am Ayesha and Ma’am Uswah. There were not expecting anything like that but we surprised them and their expressions were priceless. Also, some of the fellow created a video for facilitators as well. You might be wondering why Ma’am Uswah is looking like a Thakurain so, we were following the Daku theme in our last session. xD

Thanking our amazing Facilitators

If you ask me what did you learned from the Amal fellowship, although I have learned so many skills but I will definitely mention few of them:

1-Professional communication

2 - Time management

3 - SMART Goal settings

4 - The art of story telling

5 - Preparing for an interview

Throughout our Amal journey, besides learning new things, we made a close bond with the fellows, no matter what your problem is, you can always discuss with them at any hour and they will be more than willing to help you. Also I will miss the fun activities that we did almost every week and following the theme like we did in the last session.

Super Hero theme (Pakistani Krishhzz)

After the session, we the members of circle 1 has planned a meetup so we thought to announce it in the group as well, so that if other fellows are free they can join us. Since everyone was busy as they have their exams in the coming week, only few could join. It was really an amazing experience to physically meet the people I have been seeing in the zoom window.

Meetup after the final session

Just like the crystal clear blue sky, Amal’s experience has also broadened my vision and thinking; the most crucial was transforming my goals into SMART goals, making me a life-long learner with qualities of empathy, gratitude, and humbleness, besides nourishing my growth mindset. Now it’s time to practically implement whatever I’ve gained from this experience, which I have already initiated by practicing the Amal values.

Thank you so much, Ma’am Ayesha and Ma’am Uswah, for your weekly sessions and insightful input on our project progress. Best wishes for the next fellowship and selection process for the Amal team. More than anything, I’ll miss the weekly meetup.

It’s so crazy how time flies and how things progress
